Once again I’ve found myself in a scenario where I am simply “far too busy” to take a few moments and reflect on the past 3 years of managing this website.
Now, I know this place went quiet for the last 5 months but it’s not like I haven’t been writing anything. I’ve been keeping a healthy streak at The UCSD Guardian for some time now. I have only now just had the inspiration to go back and start cataloging everything again. Perhaps it was laziness. Perhaps going to UCSD was not as good of an idea as I initially thought.
The past few years have really changed the way I think about writing and journalism as a whole. I can’t quite describe the number of things I’ve learned and drilled into me after I began taking life seriously. However, I can say that I appreciate all of it. Excuse me for being melancholic here but, the world is really unkind. It has been for some time but I have learned to appreciate the moments and times when things are amazing. I’m happy I write differently. I am happy I still write here. I am happy you continue to read.
This place will end when I die or when I formally announce its closure. However, knowing myself the former will probably happen first.
